Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage

What does lymphatic drainage do?

This high-quality therapy fights against cellulite, eliminates toxins, and increases the body’s immune response. It’s usually recommended before a cosmetic surgery procedure to prepare the tissues, and even afterwards to improve healing.

To better understand how this therapy works, it is important to know more about the circulatory system and specifically about the lymphatic system.

A person’s circulatory system is composed of three parts, including the following:

  • The arterial system, which is responsible for transporting blood with oxygen and nutrients.
  • The venous system, which removes blood without oxygen or containing waste.
  • Lymphatic system, responsible for disposing of excess liquid and/or waste. This works as a debugger but also protects and defends the body. Its other function is to absorb fats and soluble vitamins in the digestive system and transport them through the circulatory system.
  • Areas where we apply lymphatic drainage.

We massage areas of the body where you want to stimulate circulation, specifically the legs, arms, chest, back and abdomen.
